Dear Friend,
September offers a beautiful reminder that new beginnings are only the first step. Lasting change takes time, encouragement, opportunity, and a community that believes in what is possible.
We see that growth taking shape every day at St. Ann’s. This month, one mother celebrated the first day of a new job after working steadily toward her employment goals. Another transformed her creativity and initiative into an entrepreneurial opportunity, finding a local florist interested in selling her handmade crochet flowers.
We see growth in other ways, too. It is visible in the garden residents helped envision, now filled with thriving plants and sunflowers reaching nearly ten feet tall. It takes shape when mothers gather around the table at our "She Thrives" dinner, building friendships and finding encouragement in one another. It is strengthened through wellness activities that create space for balance, confidence, and calm.
These moments may look different, but they share something important. When women and children have a strong foundation, meaningful opportunities, and a supportive community beside them, they have room to recognize their strengths and move toward new possibilities.
