Sister Nancy's Note: Your Help = Hope for Families Overcoming Crisis
Hello from St. Ann’s Center! I am so glad to have you as a supporter of this mission.
Families who come to St. Ann’s have survived challenging situations, including homelessness and other forms of severe insecurity. The women we serve are resilient. Yet the stories our clients share, often contain a decisive moment when a mom realizes: “I know I’m strong, but I need help. I need hope.”
And thank God, your help is that hope. When you’ve lived through trauma, knowing that someone has your back can give you the strength to begin rebuilding. And every time you donate or volunteer with St. Ann’s, you are letting our clients know, “I have your back.”
This week, St. Ann’s received a special visit from someone like you – a caring person who deeply understands the challenges our clients face.
That person is Steven Cade, an award-winning modern Country artist, Grammy nominee, and founder of the Giving Guitars Foundation.
As part of his Giving Guitars tour, Steven visited St. Ann’s on July 9 to spend time with our residents, perform his original songs, and share his message of hope with our community. Lastly, Steven and his wife donated a brand-new acoustic guitar to St. Ann’s, which will be permanently available for women and their children to learn, play, and share.
I am so grateful to Steven, Kellee, and the Cade family for creating a fun, encouraging, and uplifting experience for our families.
Moreover, this special occasion emphasized for me the value of year-round community – the consistent “village” of loving people who help our families heal, grow, and thrive. Thank you for being part of St. Ann’s village, and for letting our families know they are never alone on their journeys!
God Bless You,
Sister Nancy Downing, CND
CEO, St. Ann's Center for Children, Youth and Families
P.S. I sincerely appreciate your consideration of our "St. Ann's Day" campaign below. This matching gift opportunity will equip St. Ann's Center to serve more families who need our help this summer!
