On the eve of Easter Sunday, I am amazed by how quickly Lent seemed to pass. Perhaps this has to do with the pace of activities at St. Ann’s Center. In the past two weeks alone, we have welcomed two new families...

Spring has arrived and in just 40 days – on Wednesday, May 11 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, the Hope Blossoms Gala returns in-person to Columbia Country Club!

Hope Blossoms 2022 will take place Wednesday, May 11 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Columbia Country Club. Sister Mary Bader, DC and Honorary Co-hosts Pam & Dennis Lucey invite you to a celebration of St. Ann's Center's families and our continuing mission to heal, strengthen and inspire vulnerable mothers and their children.

World Social Work Day - Interview with Celeste Wallace, M.S.W.

This World Social Work Day*, St. Ann’s Center celebrates Celeste Wallace, M.S.W. – recent graduate of Howard University School of Social Work and a member of St. Ann’s Clinical and Social Work Services team. Celeste recently shared about her experiences working alongside the mothers and families living at St. Ann’s – and how she hopes these experiences will inform her future social work career.

This week, St. Ann’s Center staff and residents marked Ash Wednesday with an intimate distribution of ashes in our Chapel. As we gathered, we also recognized that this first day of Lent fell against a backdrop of great need in our world – especially the need for prayers of peace for the people of Ukraine. (Continued...)

Hello from St. Ann's Center! I hope you and your loved ones are doing well. On February 1, we marked the Feast of St. Brigid, an early Irish saint known for her creative problem-solving and regarded as a patroness of women and children. I can only imagine that if St. Brigid lived in Hyattsville today, she would find unique ways to assist St. Ann’s Center’s mission! (Continued...)

During this event, we honored the Daughters of Charity with the Mary McGrory Advocacy Award. We also honored Miguel Coppedge and Jake Garner with the Michele Heidenberger Volunteer Award.
